EC3 Mold Screening Test Kit is an effective mold detection kit that includes everything you need to test for elevated levels of mold in your indoor air or on belongings. Each kit includes 6 mold test plates, as well as detailed instructions on how to perform a test for the presence of mold in your indoor air or on specific items and/or surfaces. It takes just a few minutes to test, and you can use the package insert to read your results in just 5 days.
Note: This is NOT a diagnostic test and does NOT provide information as to the species or types of mold present. This test kit does not include laboratory analysis.

If you would like to send your plates in for analysis, we have partnered with IMS Laboratory (Official Laboratory for the National Association of Mold Professionals), a fully accredited, full-service microbiology lab, to offer additional testing services. Please see the link below for more information on lab testing and to download and print the forms and instructions for those services. We advise to ONLY send in the test plates that grow out mold as lab analysis is an additional fee and is charged per plate.

Intended Use:
Malt Extract Agar is used for the isolation, cultivation and enumeration of yeasts and molds. This is a self-development test and does not come with a laboratory analysis. Each plate has expiration date printed on bottom of each plate.

DIRECTIONS: (Note: Detailed instructions and a results key are included with each kit.)
For Air Testing: Enter room or area that you wish to test. Remove test plate from clear plastic sleeve. Take lid off test plate and place open plate on a flat surface away from walls and windows. Place lid open side down next to the test plate. Go about your activities as normal. After 1 hour, place lid back on top of test plate. Seal plate closed with tape. Wrap sealed plate in aluminum foil. Label wrapped plate with name of room or space tested and date. Place wrapped and labelled plate in a drawer or cabinet. When 5 days have elapsed since the date of testing, remove the aluminum foil to reveal results. DO NOT unseal or open test plate. Use the KEY included with the test kit to determine your results. If further diagnostics testing is needed, use one of the Environmental Mycotoxin Tests. Dispose of used test plates in outside trash receptacle.
To Test Specific Items: Remove test plate from clear sleeve. Remove lid from test plate and set aside. Gently tap the item you wish to test with the plate 1-2 times. Make sure that the agar material is exposed to the item being tested when tapping. The puffs of air created from the tapping motion will cause any mold spores embedded in the item to attach to the agar material. Place lid back on test plate. Seal plate closed with tape. Wrap sealed plate in aluminum foil. Label wrapped plate with name of object tested and date. Place wrapped and labelled plate in a drawer or cabinet. When 5 days have elapsed since the date of testing, remove the aluminum foil to reveal results. DO NOT unseal or open test plate. Use the KEY included with the test kit to determine your results.
Note: Each plate has an expiration date. Use before expiration date. As plates age, water will begin to condense onto the top of plate and may pool inside the plate. When you are ready to perform test, drain excess water from the plate first. Since the plates do expire, we do not accept returns for refunds.

Returns Policy:
You may return items sold by Micro Balance Health Products with which you are not satisfied within 30 days of the order for a full refund. (Note: See below EC3 Sanitizer Fogger return policy). We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error in shipping an item that you did not order. Items should be returned in their original product packaging.
EC3 Sanitizer Fogger Return & Refund Policy: All foggers are protected under a 1-year manufacturer’s limited warranty. This warranty covers mechanical issues and defects. Due to health and safety regulations, all Foggers are a FINAL SALE item.

It's a Moldy World
This was my first time plate testing so I went through the expected initial shock that some areas were high count. Will send off to labs for further analysis, but on first look, mold is pretty much everywhere.

Mold Screening Tests Work
These are easy to use Petri dishes with detailed instructions to determine if mold is in your living environment. The instructions also offer a way to test the nasal cavity by swabbing to determine if a person is inhaling mold. This is my second purchase of the screening tests.

We are so glad we got these! They’re very easy to use and the instructions are so helpful, simple to follow. We have an extreme mold problem, which I suspected but not in the areas I suspected and without these tests, we would’ve wasted a lot of time, money and energy looking in the wrong places! Mold Screening Test Plates Work
I was skeptical about using the Mold Screening Test Plates-I'm not a CSI. I followed the directions carefully and was surprised by the results. I identified that my sofa was contaminated with mold which I never suspected. Other areas of my apartment did find mold spores but within the normal range. I have gotten rid of my sofa, I'm cleaning my apartment, and I'm so grateful I found the mold screening test plates.

I used these test kits to determine if I was able to get the carpets clean enough to keep them after we went through mold remediation. I tap tested the carpets and then used the carpet cleaning spray and our heavy duty steam cleaner to clean the carpets. Once dry I tap tested again and the mold plate was MUCH cleaner. Worth the money to buy these instead of replacing our carpets unnecessarily!

Came broken
I want to start out by saying, u love this company so much! I use many of their products and recommend them to patients as a practitioner. But I will say, I’ve ordered these plates twice now and both times they have come broke with a large or small crack in lid or base. Customer service has promptly responded both those times and sent me new ones. But I want to warn others, if yours is cracked in any way, it will not be accurate!
