Additionally, if a toy/stuffed animal is washable, you can wash it in your washing machine and use the EC3 Laundry Additive per package instructions. That method is actually preferred for stuffed animals, because it allows a deeper clean and for the product to penetrate into the stuffing material. - Yes, we sell 2 types of foggers, the EC3 Fogger and the EC3 Electrostatic Fogger.
The EC3 fogger (110V) is an ultra-low volume cold-mist sprayer specifically designed to efficiently apply antibacterial, deodorizing, and mold solutions to indoor spaces. To learn more, click here.
The EC3 Electrostatic fogger (110V) has the same base features as the EC3 fogger while adding electrostatic technology that provides a positive charge to the droplets as they spray from the machine. As a result, the droplets space more evenly on targeted surface areas for uniform coverage and stronger adhesion. . To learn more, click here.
You do not have to test, but we do offer 2 different test kits for testing prior to fogging. We also sell 2 fogger bundles that come with EC3 Mold Screening Test Plates for before and after testing.
- We always recommend testing before fogging. It is a great way to see your initial mold counts, and then to see what fogging “dose” is best for your space. You can also test intermittently after fogging to see when and how often you need to fog again to maintain a healthy indoor space. To learn more, click here.
- The foggers sold on our website are 110V. 220v Foggers are available, but must be purchased by contacting us at customerservice@microbalancehealth.com.
- Yes, temperature changes cause condensation, but will not affect the test results.
- It is possible for a test to have no mold growth at all. This would typically indicate that your mold spore count was low at the time of testing. Please make sure you follow the instructions carefully. You can always do things to stir up dust and to agitate the air in a room prior to testing to make sure that mold spores are airborne and able to be captured on the test plates. Additionally, you can test again to confirm your initial results. High indoor humidity can also make it difficult to get accurate results as the humidity causes spores to quickly go to the floor and surfaces. A combination of air and tap tests in each room is the best way to get an accurate picture of the fungal load.
- Yes, our plates are designed with a specially-formulated plate agar to culture mold only.
- No, the screening test plates are just for screening. The kit does not include the laboratory fee. You can also purchase the Environmental Mold and Mycotoxin Assessments which do include the laboratory fee and anlaysis. To learn more about the EMMA Test, click here.

- The candles are safe to use around your animals; however, you will need to practice responsible candle fire safety techniques and ensure the animals can’t access the flame.
- Burning the candles should not set off smoke detectors; however, it’s possible that the smoke produced by blowing out the candles could trigger the alarm, though. We suggest snuffing the candles out with the lid to extinguish the flames. This prevents smoke and helps the wax to solidify evenly after each burn. Trimming the wick will also limit smoke and soot.
- The candles do not have any added fragrance. You may notice a slight, citrus smell in the soy candles or a honey-citrus smell in the beeswax formula candles, but the scents are subtle and mild. Any scent is just a natural property of the citrus seed extracts and wax mediums used to make the candles. To learn more, click here.
- We would like to use wax made from soybeans that are strictly organic or non-GMO, but due to supply issues we can't guarantee it. All of the soy wax in the US is made by just four companies, and none of them currently process organic soy oil into candle wax at this time. We will carry certifiably organic non-GMO soy wax if and when it becomes available. However, we DO guarantee that our wax does not contain any pesticides, herbicides, or toxic materials.
- Yes, you can take our products with other homeopathic products or supplements.

We can tell you that the products have been shown to reduce mold spore counts on surfaces and in the air from Too Numerous to Count to zero with 3 hours of burn time for the candles and 3 minutes of exposure to the solution for surfaces. We encourage our customers to do their own testing before and after product use to see the results.
