I wanted to see if I had mold in my car and house since I am detoxing from mold and it was treated 3 years ago. this gave my peace of mind.

First, I want to say that these plates are easy to use and affordable. Second, these plates do not pose to be the end-all, be-all of testing. I really wish that these mold consultants would stop trying to steer people away from using them, because, when used correctly, they ARE EXTREMELY helpful. If you want to use plates, you are looking to see IF you have an active mold source and WHERE it is. You are not trying to use them to set up comprehensive remediation, but to monitor mold levels or as a basic litmus test. For that, they are wonderful and helpful. If you want to then send them to the lab, you can--but YOU decide and are not then contacted for remediation advice, because the lab is totally separate from Micro Balance--which I love and respect. Bottom line? Buy them, they are worth it!

I tested several rooms and a mattress. All turned out fine with nothing showing but the mattress. It showed some mold but not enough to be concerned. I moved it in and we are doing okay. I like the fact that there is a test for a decent price that can be done preliminarily.

My family and I have been sick for 2 years with no explanation but we recently discovered a serious mold issue in our basement. I was so frantic trying to figure out how to be sure that we were safe again once it had been removed, knowing that mold spores were still in our furniture, carpets, clothes and more. They are easy to use and extremely affordable. Every home in America should have these and use them yearly, at the very least. We spent hundreds having our home tested with an "air quality test" from mold professionals and it came back NEGATIVE when we did, in fact, have a very serious issue. We have decided to move due to financial hardship and these have been great to test our potential new homes. I can't say enough good things about this product!

We’ve spent the last year remediating and evaluating our home after mold was found. Lately we have been using the test kit to determine whether and items we hoped to be safe and clean really are. We had professionally cleaned a couple of small area rugs and 3 upholstered chairs we had hoped to keep. After testing we found that they were still moldy and we disposed of them. We also tested other items and rooms and found them clear of the mold showing our efforts successful. I’ve purchased additional kits to test the last things I couldn’t face getting rid of to make sure I’m in a clean environment to heal. I’m thankful for this inexpensive way to follow up on other professional testing to clear the remaining items from our home.

I have unfortunately been exposed to mold multiple times and have had very traumatic experiences with it. I once again recently was exposed to it but didn’t have a way to prove it other than my body was shutting down. I ordered these, tested my studio, and wham- severe levels with over 10 different species of mold appeared in the Petri dishes. I showed my landlords immediately which then immediately terminated my lease and I began the process of “anti- molding” all my belongings and healing my body. I pray my old landlords fix their unit before renting it out to anyone else but I doubt it unfortunately… However I am safe and healing and this test validated what I already knew about my life being in danger and I am forever grateful for this company ?❤️

I was skeptical but took a chance and bought these. I wanted a baseline before I started using the mold spray around the house. I had to reach out to customer service, however, because several of the discs were cracked upon arrival and that kind of freaked me out knowing there was going to be mold growing in them. They told me to put tape over the spots, which made it a little harder to see the results but worked I guess.

The test plates are extremely sensitive and effective but if any air gets inside the individual sealed package envelopes during the shipping process, mold can grow. This is rare, and we take every precaution, but it can occur due to the nature of the product. We will always assist you and make sure you get replacement plates if this ever happens.
