EC3 Mold Screening Test Kit is an effective mold detection kit that includes everything you need to test for elevated levels of mold in your indoor air or on belongings. Each kit includes 6 mold test plates, as well as detailed instructions on how to perform a test for the presence of mold in your indoor air or on specific items. It takes just a few minutes to test , and you can use the insert to read your results in just 5 days..
Note that this is NOT a diagnostic test and does NOT provide information as to the species or types of mold present. This test does not include laboratory analysis.

Intended Use:
Malt Extract Agar is used for the isolation, cultivation and enumeration of yeasts and molds. This is a self-development test and does not come with a laboratory analysis. Each plate has expiration date printed on bottom of each plate.

DIRECTIONS: (Note: Detailed instructions and a results key are included with each kit.)
For Air Testing: Enter room or area that you wish to test. Remove test plate from clear plastic sleeve. Take lid off test plate and place open plate on a flat surface away from walls and windows. Place lid open side down next to the test plate. Go about your activities as normal. After 1 hour, place lid back on top of test plate. Seal plate closed with tape. Wrap sealed plate in aluminum foil. Label wrapped plate with name of room or space tested and date. Place wrapped and labelled plate in a drawer or cabinet. When 5 days have elapsed since the date of testing, remove the aluminum foil to reveal results. DO NOT unseal or open test plate. Use the KEY included with the test kit to determine your results. If further diagnostics testing is needed, use one of the Environmental Mycotoxin Tests. Dispose of used test plates in outside trash receptacle.
To Test Specific Items: Remove test plate from clear sleeve. Remove lid from test plate and set aside. Gently tap the item you wish to test with the plate 1-2 times. Make sure that the agar material is exposed to the item being tested when tapping. The puffs of air created from the tapping motion will cause any mold spores embedded in the item to attach to the agar material. Place lid back on test plate. Seal plate closed with tape. Wrap sealed plate in aluminum foil. Label wrapped plate with name of object tested and date. Place wrapped and labelled plate in a drawer or cabinet. When 5 days have elapsed since the date of testing, remove the aluminum foil to reveal results. DO NOT unseal or open test plate. Use the KEY included with the test kit to determine your results.
Note: Each plate has an expiration date. Use before expiration date. As plates age, water will begin to condense onto the top of plate and may pool inside the plate. When you are ready to perform test, drain excess water from the plate first. Since the plates do expire, we do not accept returns for refunds.

We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error in shipping an item that you did not order. Items should be returned in their original product packaging.
EC3 Sanitizer Fogger Return & Refund Policy: All foggers are protected under a 1-year manufacturer’s limited warranty. This warranty covers mechanical issues and defects. Due to health and safety regulations, all Foggers are a FINAL SALE item.

My experiment failed
These plates are probably very effective, but unfortunately mine got too warm during the incubation and the results were completely unreadable. I was bummed because these were so expensive compared to other test plates. I’m sure if you don’t have the same problem that I did that these would be a better investment. I wish they were a lot cheaper though.

Watching progress is reassuring
The Mold Screening Test Plates are addictive. It is really fun to see how regular treatments with the Fogger, Mold Solution Concentrate and Laundry Additive are progressing. I have purchased these easy to use plates a number of times.

These are so handy
We moved into a new house rental, and I immediately tested a room that was suspicious. Sure enough, it tested positive for mold, so I decided against having one of my kids in that room. I have nearly used the whole pack, and will be buying more.

I purchased and used mold test plates in the past and felt disappointed in the entire process being so vague. In all honesty, I purchased the 6 pk with the full intention of evaluating the effects of EC3 air purifying candles on present mycotoxins in 3 separate rooms. Sad to say I can't make a statement as to my observation of test plates before then after using the room candles according to instructions because I was so positively affected with each separate day of the regimen, I had so many "good" days without headaches and feeling ill or retreating to bed-- I haven't found the motivation to finish my experiment and I will use the remaining plates as soon as my new roof and insulation removal is complete. The mold test plates which I initially used showed TMTC deep gray color colonies, I was shocked. Thank You Microbalance for being affordable, effective, and easy!!

Good Starting Place
