- Can the EC3 Mold Spray nozzle be adjusted to produce a wider mist or a more direct spray?

- Can I use the EC3 Mold Solution Spray on stuffed animals/toys?
- Yes, EC3 Mold Solution Spray can be used on all hard and soft surfaces. The Spray is non-toxic, doesn’t contain harmful chemicals and is safe for use on all materials. Additionally, if a toy/stuffed animal is washable, you can wash it in your washing machine and use the EC3 Laundry Additive per package instructions. Just make sure to dry it thoroughly at high heat in a dryer afterwards.

- No. CitriDrops Nasal Spray is designed exclusively for use in the nose. It is a homeopathic nasal spray that provides relief from sinusitis and mold allergy symptoms. It is designed to soothe and decongest the nasal passages. It also reduces inflammation and sinus swelling caused by molds, bacteria, pollen and other irritants. It does not contain citrus. For more information and a list of ingredients, click here.
CitriDrops Dietary Supplement can be used orally as a digestive aid, or added to a nasal wash. The drops are a proprietary blend of pure citrus seed extracts that have been effectively used for centuries to aid the immune system in fighting fungal, viral, and bacterial pathogens. The drops are safe for both children and adults, and are designed not to create fungal or bacterial resistance, even after long-term use. For more information and uses, click here.
- How often should I fog my home?
- You can fog as frequently as you like. The frequency will be dependent on the person and environmental conditions. You should always make sure to properly use air flow and fans after fogging, so that all surfaces dry completely. Most people fog once per month for mold maintenance. If the indoor space needs professional remediation, you can fog as often as often as needed until you can get the work completed, or can get to a safe mold-free environment. Remember, if there is an active water source, or visible mold growth, fogging is only a Band-Aid solution. The cause for the mold growth must be fixed and the space must be professionally remediated to be safe long-term. To learn more about fogging, click here.
- How many times can I fog with a single bottle of EC3 Mold Solution Concentrate?
- One bottle of EC3 Mold Solution Concentrate will make one gallon of fogging solution. When set to the lowest output setting, it takes 50 minutes for the EC3 Fogger to disperse 1 gallon of solution. For a 1,500-square-foot home, you should be able to fog the entire interior approximately 2-3 times with one bottle of Mold Solution Concentrate.
- Do you sell more than one type of fogger?
- We only sell one fogger, the EC3 Fogger. This fogger (110V) is an ultra-low volume cold-mist sprayer specifically designed to efficiently apply antibacterial, deodorizing, and mold solutions to indoor spaces. To learn more, click here.
- Should I test my home before fogging?
- We always recommend testing before fogging. It is a great way to see your initial mold counts, and then to see what fogging “dose” is best for your space. You can also test intermittently after fogging to see when and how often you need to fog again to maintain a healthy indoor space. To learn more, click here.
- Will the EC3 Fogger work in my country?
- Our fogger is 110V. We do not recommend using it with 220V.
- Are there instructions on how to use the fogger?

- I have condensation in my test plates, is this normal?
- Yes, temperature changes cause condensation, but will not affect the test results.
- I do not see any growth on my test plates. Is this normal?
- It is possible for a test to have no mold growth at all. This would typically indicate that your mold spore count was low at the time of testing. Please make sure you follow the instructions carefully. You can always do things to stir up dust and to agitate the air in a room prior to testing to make sure that mold spores are airborne and able to be captured on the test plates. Additionally, you can test again to confirm your initial results. High indoor humidity can also make it difficult to get accurate results as the humidity causes spores to quickly go to the floor and surfaces. A combination of air and tap tests in each room is the best way to get an accurate picture of the fungal load.
- Do the test plates only work for mold?
- Yes, our plates are designed with a specially-formulated plate agar to culture mold only.
- How many rooms can be tested with the EC3 Mold Screening test kit? Is one dish for one room?
- You will need a new plate for each room you wish to test. You take the samples, and then count the mold colonies present on the plates after 5 days of incubation. These kits come with a detailed reference guide to determine your test results, but are not sent to a lab for professional analysis. Many people who are mold-sensitive like to use the EC3 plates as a means of monitoring mold counts in their indoor environments. Their lower price-point makes frequent testing more feasible. For lab analysis, you will need to use an EMMA Test.
- Do the EC3 Mold Screening Test Plates include a laboratory fee?
- No, the screening test plates are just for screening. They do not include the laboratory fee. If you wish to have your plates analyzed, you will need to purchase the Environmental Mold and Mycotoxin Assessments which do include the laboratory fee and anlaysis. To learn more, click here.
- Is there instructional video on how to use screening test plates?
- There are detailed, easy-to-follow instructions contained in the kit. You can also reach out to us anytime with questions at customerservice@microbalancehealth.com.

- I live in a rental with fire and smoke detector in every room. Will using the candles trigger the detector's alarm?
- Burning the candles should not set off smoke detectors; however, it’s possible that the smoke produced by blowing out the candles could trigger the alarm, though. We suggest snuffing the candles out with the lid to extinguish the flames. This prevents smoke and helps the wax to solidify evenly after each burn. Trimming the wick will also limit smoke and soot.
